What is Carpet Protective Film?
Carpet film problems on job sites almost never come from not using film at all. They happen because the wrong film is used. An overly aggressive adhesive can pull carpet fibers or leave residue when it’s removed. A too-weak adhesive can lift at the edges under foot traffic, exposing the exact area it was meant to protect.
Plashield carpet protective film uses a low-to-medium tack acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive designed specifically for carpet fiber construction. It stays flat under foot traffic without shifting, and it peels away in one piece without fiber pull on loop pile, cut pile, or Berber carpet structures.
The film substrate is made from 100% virgin PE, 50–100μm thick, with an elongation at break of at least 300%. It’s resistant to tearing during on-site foot traffic and handling. Roll lengths are available from 50m to 300m, widths from 600–2000mm, and custom logo printing is available for distributor retail packaging as well as contractor OEM branding needs.

It uses a standard forward-roll setup and is suitable for manual application as well as with walk-behind carpet film dispensers. For indoor use, the recommended dwell time is 30–90 days.
Reverse-wound film setup for automated carpet-film applicators and commercial dispensing machines that need a reverse-unwind direction. During installation, the film surface faces downward toward the carpet. This design is made for high-efficiency coverage across large commercial floor areas, cutting down on manual adjustments and minimizing machine downtime between rolls.
Built with an extra-high-tack adhesive system (peel force approximately 350–500 g/25mm) for loop-pile commercial carpets and high-traffic construction sites. Standard-tack films can fail to properly anchor on coarse commercial carpet surfaces and may detach when subjected to heavy movement or repeated foot traffic—this formulation addresses that issue while still delivering zero-residue removal performance. Suitable for hotel corridors, retail mall carpeting, and exhibition venues.
Engineered for automotive interior carpets—ideal for new vehicle transport, detailing shops, body painting, and dealership service bays. The adhesive chemistry is tailored to the specific fiber density and short-pile structure of automotive carpeting, helping the film stay flat without shifting and remove cleanly without leaving residue or causing fiber damage. Custom widths are available based on vehicle carpet dimensions (typical range: 500–800mm), with cutter-box retail packaging designed for automotive parts distributor channels.
